Terms and Conditions

This Agreement made by and between SafeSteps Consulting LLC (“CONSULTANT”) and the requesting party (“CLIENT”), collectively referred to herein as “the parties.”    

The Parties understand and voluntarily agree as follows:

1. CONSULTANT agrees to perform a visual inspection of the home and to provide CLIENT with a written evaluation identifying any safety hazards that CONSULTNT deemed important and to offer possible remedies, recommendations and referrals. CLIENT is encouraged to participate in the Home Safety Assessment. 

2. CONSULTANT does not perform engineering, electrical, architectural, plumbing, or any other job function requiring an occupational license in that jurisdiction. CLIENT understands that CONSULTANT will not test for asbestos, lead paint, formaldehyde, radon, mold, soil contamination, any defects in home construction or any other environmental hazards.

3. CLIENT understands the visual inspection of the home is undertaken as the residence exists during the inspection, using the current knowledge pertaining to safety concerns. Further, it is impossible to identify every potential danger. CLIENT agrees to hold CONSULTANT harmless for any modification made to the residence after the inspection or any latent defect not readily observable by CONSULTANT. 

4. We have incorporated an extensive 240-point Home Safety Assessment and a vetting process of our preferred contractors, and we feel as though this process is thorough. But, CLIENT understands there is no 100% effective method for screening out all safety hazards or bad apples and you agree to indemnify, defend and hold CONSULTANT harmless from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury that may be sustained by you, or any property belonging to you or a third party relating to the safety assessment or the referral of a contractor. You understand that we make no representation, warrantee, or guarantee as to the quality of service offered by contractors. We do not work for the contractors and any issue that arises between you and a contractor shall be resolved solely between you and the contractor.
